Over £1,000 raised for Children in Need

On Friday 16th November, Testbourne Community School hosted a number of activities in order to raise money and spread awareness for Children in Need.

These activities included a Mufti Day, where all students paid £1 to wear non uniform, a student vs teacher netball match which raised a combined total of £1,068 for Children in Need. A vast number of the school gathered round the netball courts to watch, whilst other year 11 prefects were selling cake and similar food, which were made by students and staff, with all proceeds going towards the charity. £206.14 was raised as a result of the cake sale and netball match donations alone, with Beech raising the most money, £78.11.

Miss Parry, who organised the match, commented on the lunchtime, saying: " What an amazing lunch time! The atmosphere was unbelievable and the money raised is even more incredible! Thank you to all the staff who played in the netball match (WE WON 10-5!), to Mrs Tanner who helped at the cake sale, and to everyone else who helped with the netball match."
