Testbourne Community School (TCS) is a well-established, rural community school, situated in the town of Whitchurch in Hampshire and serving the surrounding area. It is a mixed, comprehensive school for pupils aged 11-16 and we were judged ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2010.
Our vision statement is:
Students act with integrity; achieve excellence together; enjoy and value their education; demonstrate respect for themselves and others and become highly skilled learners prepared for a successful future.
We offer a broad curriculum to cater for all learners and our students achieve excellent examination results that far exceed national averages.
We are very committed to evaluating and developing our teaching practices to ensure that students are challenged academically and have opportunities to excel. We are also dedicated to ensuring that students have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities including visits to our partner school in Uganda, sports, clubs, a wide range of trips and visits, productions and cultural experiences.
Our strapline of Achievement, Excellence and Integrity underpins everything we do. We believe in always doing things to the best of our ability and acting according to core moral values. In addition, we subscribe to the ideals of being courageous in our learning; being ambitious, motivated and willing to seek improvement; working diligently and taking responsibility for our actions.
