“Testbourne is an outstanding school…Staff enjoy working in this supportive and forward-looking environment, playing their part well in bringing about positive change.”
Testbourne Community School, an 11-16 comprehensive school with an extremely able cohort, is an Outstanding School (Ofsted 2010) that provides a forward thinking, outward looking and vibrant learning environment. We pride ourselves on the strength of staff and student relationships, and a strong community is at the heart of our ethos. The school serves the town of Whitchurch and the surrounding area and is within easy reach of Winchester, Newbury, Basingstoke and Southampton with good transport links to the M3 and A34.
Our shared philosophy is embodied by our strapline ‘Achievement | Excellence | Integrity.’ At TCS we work together to continually raise expectations, improve our practice and increase the standards of student achievement in order to secure our outstanding judgement for the future. We encourage all of our teachers to realise their potential and place value and importance on delivering training and providing continuing professional development opportunities.
We are seeking Casual Lifeguards to join our busy Community swimming pool during the summer months. The successful applicants will have an up to date NPLQ certificate and training or be willing to undertake the training requirements provided by the school during May half term.
Internal Exclusion Supervisor
We wish to appoint a dedicated Internal Exclusion Supervisor to oversee the onsite exclusion provision, which provides an alternative to the negative impact of fixed term external exclusions on young people whilst maintaining good discipline throughout the school. The successful candidate will have high expectations of behaviour and conduct and will have good relationships with children in order to deliver these. They will have, or will be supported to develop, a range of strategies to promote a good attitude to learning in and around the school and will be responsible for effectively supporting students to assist them to improve their behaviour patterns. The personality and skills of the candidate are paramount. Development and training can be provided.
