Library

Testbourne Library has an up-to-date selection of modern and classic fiction and leisure non-fiction. We subscribe to the School Library Service, and the library stock is updated regularly throughout the year.

The Library has recently been refurbished to provide a calm and relaxing environment to encourage reading. There are also a number of computers which students can use for homework and research.

All students in Year 7 are given a library induction to introduce them to the library and what it has to offer. Students are encouraged to borrow books from the library during tutor time and at break and lunchtimes. Year 7, 8 and 9 students also have library lessons once a fortnight as part of their English timetable.

Our Library Catalogue (Oliver) can be accessed through the School network via Sharepoint or click here for a link. The school also has an eLibrary, SORA, which students can use to borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines. This can be accessed via the Library section on Sharepoint, or you can download the SORA app. Sora can also be accessed on any device/browser at https://soraapp.com/library/hampshiresls Select Testbourne Community School from the drop-down box.

Our librarian is Mrs Clarke and she can be contacted by email at j.clarke@testbourne.school
