    This week we were delighted to invite Year 5 students to Testbourne to get a taste of secondary school life. We had a range of engaging activities planned throughout the day which had the students cooking, designing, experimenting, thinking, reading, and more!   • Science Baylab Trip, Reading.

    On Thursday 4 th May, thirty Year 10 students spent the day at Baylab in Reading, learning about DNA and mutations. Students found out if they had a mutation that means they can't really taste Brussel sprouts and even extracted their own DNA to keep in a necklace. A great day and Year 10 did themselves proud!

  • King Coronation Picnic

    In celebration of the coronation of King Charles III, Testbourne had a number of events planned! All staff and students were cordially invited to attend the Royal Coronation Picnic on the school field (however, due to the typical British weather, we moved it to the playground) and the canteen also offered a special ‘Royal Grab and Go’ picnic bag during lunchtime. Students showcased their baking skills by making a coronation themed cake that, after the judging has took place, students collected and shared it with their friends at the Royal Coronation Picnic!

  • Ocean Youth Trust Sailing Experience

    14 of our brilliant KS3 pupils recently embarked on a 4-night sailing adventure with Ocean Youth Trust! From April 12th to April 16th, they braved the high seas, charting a course from Southampton, to Cowes, then to Poole and back home again. Our voyage was full of surprises, as we experienced a mix of glorious sunshine and a wild stormy day that put our skills and courage to the test.

  • World Book Day 2023

    Today is World Book Day 2023! At Testbourne we celebrated WBD23 yesterday, and teachers dressed up or accessorised with an item from one of their favourite books. We've had a World Book Day Scavenger Hunt, which had clues scattered around the school, as well as an illustration competition which is ongoing until March 17th so get your entries to your art teacher or hand it in to the TCS Library.
